Starch Manufacturers Association (NİSAD) is the umbrella organization representing the starch industry in Turkey. NİSAD carries out its work with a structure based on honesty, trust and sincerity, taking its strength from sectoral unity. The association continues to work with the aim of developing the starch industry, determining and meeting its needs, sharing data and information on industry products with the public, protecting the common rights of the sector and representing the Turkish starch industry in the most effective way on international platforms.

Information / Contact
NİSAD informs all stakeholders about Turkish starch industry and starch products accurately and based on scientific resources. It carries out communication activities in order to convey correct information to the public about starch industry. While carrying out these activities, the association cooperates with the public, universities, NGOs and international organizations.
Food and Work Safety
NİSAD follows the international procedures required to ensure and maintain food and work safety standards in the starch industry and informs its members on this issue.
Supporting and Improving Maize Agriculture
Maize, which is the sole raw material of Turkish starch industrialists, is grown by maize farmers in different regions of our country. NİSAD conducts studies, plans and implements projects to develop and support maize agriculture and to convey modern agricultural knowledge to maize farmers.
Bioeconomics / R&D
Starch is renewable and biodegradable. Thus, it is a very suitable raw material for the sustainable use of agricultural products in the bio-based industry. The starch industry in the world produces bio-based products that are used as raw materials and generally replacing fossil-fuel-based ingredients in the fermentation, chemical, cosmetics, textile, paper, plastics and detergent industries. NISAD members support the bioeconomy with their R&D investments and activities. NİSAD conducts collaborative work and develops projects in this field.
Developing International Collaborations
NİSAD carries out works for the development of international collaborations for the Turkish starch industry and representation of the industry on international platforms.
